This is the official way to connect mobile devices with Sogo.

For security reasons it's recommended to configure SyncML to use https instead of plain http Mailing list

Potential issues

  • The remote names recommended in the sogo documentation are sogo-card / sogo-cal and sogo-todo. The Funambol clients usually use different names, like card, cal todo. For a simpler user experience it is best to also setup the same/additional remote names on your funambol server.

The advantages

  • Sync solution which existed as first
  • You can sync information of multiple sogo calendars into one device calendar

The disadvantages

  • Needs also the Funambol server installation, which requires additional resources
  • Only a single sync source is possible (No way to sync with multiple sogo servers)
  • No way to distinc multiple calendars and address book on the device
